Speaking of Utopia

As I am pondering about the fact that I will soon have all Saturdays free, I am thinking that every week should have 2 Saturdays. One on Saturday, and one on Wednesday. I believe the shops in England used to do this, Open a half-day on Wednesday, and a half-day on Saturday.
And while we're at it, let's have 2 Christmas days also. And birthdays every other year. And April 15th should never arrive.

The Perfect Utopian Vision

Every day should be like Christmas Day. Each year, on this day we wish all men Peace and Joy, only to go back to fighting tomorrow. So for 24 hours, Peace and Joy do rule the world. Just 364 more days to go.

Again, the Dream of Truth

I dream of a world where people don't lie about everything. Advertising is a kind of lying, where an attempt is made to make people believe that they need something that they most likely don't. Everything, I mean everything is an advertisement, everywhere you look, there it is, advertising. Untruths are destructive, everything must be measured to protect the untruth. It is confining, and depresses the mind, and suppresses free thought.
Truth, on the other hand, is like a Utopian mind-state. Truth is perfect, it needs no other explanation, it frees the mind, it releases thoughts from the boundaries of convention. Truth releases the spirit of contemplation to the point where the human mind can conceive of anything. Is your mind contained by the evils of untruths, or does it fly like a bird on the wings of truth?

Utopian Rule #1

No more "Daylight Savings Time". This Spring, we set the clocks forward 1/2 hour, and then never change it ever again. No more late for work or church, no more time confusion, and millions of dollars saved. There is no longer a need for Daylight Savings Time, it is a burden on us and will not be used in Utopia.

I Dream of Creativity

I dream of a world run by artists, that use their creativity to improve the world around them. Pain, suffering, hunger, greed, and conflict all swept away by Music, Painting, Architecture, and Literature... When can we start?

I Dream of Gardens

Gardens for all.
  1. Vegetable gardens so no one will suffer from hunger.
  2. Flower gardens so we can see the infinite beauty in the world.
  3. Rose gardens to perfume the air.
  4. Water fountains and garden pools so we can be soothed by the sounds.
  5. Gardens in every empty lot, in every city so the "concrete jungle" can seem more tame.
